Hello Pirates, this is your principal, Ms. Gilbert, at Pasco Middle School with information and our calendar of events for next week.
Recently we are seeing an increasing amount of flat-out defiance amongst some students – students looking straight at adults on campus and ignoring directions such as “time to get to class”. We are also spending exorbitant amounts of time chasing students that are choosing to skip class. While we know this doesn’t apply to all students, and MANY students do follow all the rules and do what they are supposed to do, we appreciate every family reiterating the importance of being in class on time, and following schoolwide expectations, which is their job every day while at school. We are now sending text messages to families as we find students not where they are supposed to be and being flat out defiant. The message asks for you to come to school and escort your child, since they do not want to follow school personnel’s directions. We appreciate the parents that have already shown up in support. We do want to continue to be able to celebrate great choices, and decreasing these behaviors will help us do that! The Pirate Press Parent Newsletter is posted on our school website and social media sites for this week and contains additional important information.
The information with the days below is a highlight of events for the upcoming week. Please make sure you review the Pirate Press Parent Newsletter every week. Link to the newsletter: https://secure.smore.com/n/s826b
