Hello Pirates, this is your principal, Ms. Gilbert, at Pasco Middle School with information and our calendar of events for next week.

This week we started experimenting with a new initiative to encourage students to get to class on time as well as to combat occurrences of skipping. When students are found to be deliberately tardy or skipping class, they will spend five minutes participating in Earth Patrol on campus. Earth Patrol is geared toward making sure that items that don’t belong in nature are gathered and thrown away. Most students have not wanted to take part in Earth Patrol and have made it to class pretty quickly, which was our ultimate goal! Skipping incidents have also decreased thus far as well. Fingers crossed that this assists staff and students in being able to remain focused on the work of the school – teaching and learning! We appreciate your continued support in our goals to keep kiddos in class and engaged!

Monday and Wednesday, Girls soccer practice will be from 1:30-3:30p. Tuesday there is a home game against Angeline Academy of Innovation at Pasco High School at 6:00p and Thursday there is a home game against Centennial Middle at Pasco High School at 6:00p.

Boys basketball practice will be Tuesday and Thursday from 1:30-3:30p. Monday there is an away game against John Long Middle at 6:00p and Wednesday there is a home game against Rushe Middle at 6:00p.

Friday there is no school.
