Hello Pirates, this is your principal, Ms. Gilbert, at Pasco Middle School with information and our calendar of events for next week.

We have been working through our second FAST progress monitoring period this week with our students taking the FAST ELA and Math assessments. The results of these assessments are used to help guide course selections for students as well as identifying needs for interventions and/or enrichment. A cursory look at some of the initial data shows that students are making growth!

We have some vacancies for classroom instructional assistants that would work to help teachers prepare and run small groups. If you or someone you know is looking for employment and wants to help make a difference with our kiddos, please call the school or apply online!

Next week is the last week of school before Winter Break. We have many activities going on at school, including mid-year FAST testing make-ups, our Talent Show, and Kona Ice for students with no referrals and low tardies. We are also still focusing on academics and appropriate, respectful behavior. Please assist us in reminding your children that vacation does not start until December 21st, and that expectations are still in place.

The Pirate Press Parent Newsletter is posted on our school website and social media sites for this week and contains additional important information. The information with the days below is a highlight of events for the upcoming week. Please make sure you review the Pirate Press Parent Newsletter every week.

Kona Ice will be for sale on Wednesday for students with no referrals and 5 or fewer tardies since 11/18.
Thursday, students are able to enjoy watching their peers perform in our Talent Show during the school day.
Friday is the last day of school before Winter Break and is also Pajama Day. School will resume on January 6, 2025.

From our Pirate Family to yours, we wish you a safe and happy holiday season!
