The 1st round of FAST Progress Monitoring assessments of the year begin with English Language Arts for 8th grade on Tuesday, 7th grade on Wednesday, and 6th grade on Thursday. Please encourage your child to take their time and do their best work… these assessments DO matter! They determine course placement (ELA Level 1s are automatically placed in Intensive Reading, for example) and assist us in monitoring student growth throughout the year. Students that maintain or improve their scores from the end of last year (PM3 from May 2025 to PM1 September 2025) will receive a pass for a week of pajamas at school.

For the past several years, all Pasco County Schools have been part of a federal program called the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP). This program has allowed us to offer free breakfast and lunch to all students, regardless of income. However, due to rising food costs and changes in federal legislation, our district will be making some changes starting with the 2025–2026 school year.
