Dear Pirate Families,

February is here, and we are off to a strong start as we continue our work together during the second semester.

We are excited to share that both boys’ basketball and girls’ soccer seasons are underway. Game dates are listed on our February calendar, and we encourage families to join us for home games to cheer on our Pirate athletes. Thank you to our parents and families for your continued support of our extracurricular programs.

Progress reports will be available on February 12, so please be sure to review your student’s academic progress. Please remember there will be no school on Friday, February 13, and Monday, February 16, in observance of Presidents’ Day. Our second Early Release Day is scheduled for Wednesday, February 24, with dismissal at 11:30 AM.

Academically, students are just wrapping up i‑Ready Reading Diagnostic testing. This assessment helps identify individual strengths and areas for improvement in reading, allowing teachers to address skill gaps and elevate student learning. The i‑Ready platform is accessible through myPascoConnect, and students are encouraged to practice their MyPath lessons at home.

In math, students are using IXL to practice skills and work toward mastery of grade‑level standards.

Parents can monitor progress in both i‑Ready and IXL through myPascoConnect. We also encourage families to remind students to regularly monitor their grades and communicate with teachers if support is needed.

As I walk through classrooms each day, I see students engaged in learning, taking ownership of their work, and striving for success. Thank you to everyone for your continued support as we work hard together during this important second semester.

Let’s make February a great month. And, don’t forget to encourage your student to read each evening!

Warmly,
Dr. Rudolph-Fladd
