The Week Ahead September 12, 2025

Hello Pirates, this is your principal, Mrs. Davis, at Pasco Middle School with information and our calendar of events for next week.

Math FAST Progress Monitoring assessments are next week. 8th grade tests on Tuesday, 7th grade on Wednesday, and 6th grade on Thursday. Please encourage your child to take their time and do their best work… these assessments DO matter! They determine course placement (grade level content with foundational supports all the way to Algebra and Geometry) and assist us in monitoring student growth throughout the year. Students that maintain or improve their scores from the end of last year (PM3 from May 2025 to PM1 September 2025) will receive a pass for a week of pajamas at school.

Quarter 1 Progress Reports will be published on Friday, September 19. Please check on your child’s progress!

The information with the days below is a highlight of events for the upcoming week. Please make sure you review the Pirate Press Parent Newsletter every week.

Monday and Wednesday the SVB Tennis Program will be held from 1:30-2:50pm.

Football practice is from1:30-3:45p Monday through Wednesday. It is a BYE week so there is no game.

Volleyball practice is from 1:30-3:45p Tuesday and Wednesday. There is a home game against Weightman Middle on Monday at 6:00p, and an away game against Stewart Middle School at 6:00p on Thursday.

Cheer practice is from 1:30-3:00p on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
