Hurricane Ian is expected to have significant impact on Pasco County and the Tampa Bay area for several days this week. As a result, all Pasco County Schools and all district offices will be closed the rest of the week – Tuesday, September 27, through Friday, September 30. We will continue to provide updates on our website; via Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram; and through School Messenger. Visit our weather page for more information.

Hello Pirates, this is your principal Ms. Gilbert, at Pasco Middle School with some important information and our calendar of events for next week.

Lately we have been hearing about some social media pages where students have posted pictures they’ve taken of other students and/or staff members at school. These are often unkind in nature. Please assist us in reviewing the expectations (below) for Wireless Communication Devices (WCDs) with your student(s) and remind them of the potential consequences should they participate in such activities. These policies are in place for the safety and well-being of all.

Also, a reminder from our Clinic/Nurse: All medication, both prescription and over-the-counter, MUST be brought to the school clinic by the parent/guardian and will be administered by school clinic staff based on documentation from the medical provider and written permission from the parent. With few exceptions for diabetes supplies and emergency medication, NO student may carry medication at school. Please contact Ms. Milton, clinic assistant, or Mrs. Browning, RN, school nurse, if you have questions 352.524.8405.

The Pirate Press Parent Newsletter is posted on our school website and social media sites for this week and contains important information. The information with the days below is a highlight of events for the upcoming week. Please make sure you review the Pirate Press Parent Newsletter every week.
