Activities and athletics are scheduled throughout the school year both during school hours and after school, and you are urged to participate. Students who are active in school often do better in their class work and enjoy school more. To participate in interscholastic athletics you must be in 7th or 8th grade, maintain a 2.0 grade point average, and have passed 5 out of 6 subjects during the previous quarter.
All students must have a qualifying physical examination reported on an FHSAA form (Physical and Athletic Packet 2017-2018), and must pay the following: $45.00 participation fee for the first sport, and $30.00 for the second sport with a $75.00 individual maximum per school year. Students must also complete the “Concussion for Sports” Course online. Directions can be found on FHSAA.org. Student participation in athletics is dependent upon appropriate conduct. Athletes must also complete the FHSAA physical to tryout for a sport.
